Smith & Brooks, Inc. was established in 1971 and was a division of Southern Machinery Company located on Hansford Street in Charleston, West Virginia. In 1984 Smith & Brooks became a separate entity and incorporated, focusing on the instrumentation and industrial market. Smith & Brooks, Inc. expanded its operation in 1993, building a new 12,000 square foot facility at Teays Pointe Complex in St. Albans, West Virginia which is the present location.
In 1994, Smith & Brooks, Inc. established a branch office and stocking warehouse facility at the Byrd Center in Richmond, Virginia serving the greater Richmond and Peninsula areas.
Smith & Brooks, Inc. has served the analytical, chemical, oil and gas, power, pulp and paper, refineries and semiconductor industries for more than three decades with honesty,integrity, a high standard of professional ethics, quality products and unequaled customer service.
